Years of love & hard work have turned 13 acres into a magical mountain home surrounded by lovely gardens that include a bounty of perennials, several specimens of Japanese Maples & unique conifers. This home & separate guest quarters were designed by noted architect Bill Ashe. The many outdoor spaces allow for the enjoyment of nature, including a high in the air treehouse accessible by a walkway from the house. It's a favorite place to spend time with friends. Large windows bring light into the house and allow you to feel a part of the outside. Vaulted ceilings, wood floors, exposed timber framing harvested from the property, & the many built-ins make this home a one of a kind. There are several multi-purpose rooms that would be great for those who work from home, for an artist or craftsman's studio, or to develop into additional bedrooms. It's a lovely drive along Elk Mountain Scenic Highway to this private enclave just minutes to North Asheville, Downtown Asheville or the Parkway.
North on Merrimon Avenue. Turn right at Ingles onto Beaverdam Road. Turn left on Elk Mountain Scenic Highway. Turn left on Upper Herron Cove Road (the sign is on the right side of the road). Go just a short distance & turn left at the 2nd driveway, which is clearly marked for 631, 633, and 635. You will see what looks liked a grass driveway on the left, and a wooden trellis on the right. Turn left onto the gravel driveway just past the ornate well cover. Keep left to the house. There is plenty of parking & turn around space. Please, no drive bys.
